Bemish green piano is a wonderful studio to learn at. They can teach you anything from the very basics to advanced techniques and songs. After over a year gap from my high school classes, this studio has allowed me to get back into practicing piano. Edward bemish, the teacher, is extremely kind and works very well with me. He works at my pace with the understanding that everybody will take a different amount of time to learn. I’m very grateful that I chose this studio when looking for lessons.

I've been working with Edward for the last two years getting back to the piano that had been in hiatus for twenty odd years. I have some music background but working with Edward is helping me fill in the gaps and improve my total understanding of what it takes to make/play good music.

I wouldn’t be the musician I am today if I hadn’t studied with Edward. He’s an incredible improviser and he helped bring out my own improvisation talent that I didn’t know I had. The classical/jazz (you pick) curriculum is also fantastic. Edward integrates high-quality music theory and music history lessons into his lessons, and emphasizes high standards and self-discipline (this aspect of his teaching has carried over into other parts of my life). The experience I had at Bemish Green Piano Studio inspired me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music theory at Temple University and gave me the music skills and self-discipline necessary to excel there. I highly recommend Bemish Green Piano Studio to anyone who wants to study music in a serious way.

Edward is an excellent and wonderful teacher as well as a professional musician. My daughter learned well from him and enjoyed his teaching methods. He made sure she understood her key notes, ques, and guided her steps via work notes and practices. She had fun learning and appreciates his humor when teaching. I’m legitimately grateful to have Edward Bemish for my sons’ teacher. His attention to detail, thoughtful and comprehensive approach, and of course his brilliant expertise have truly inspired my boys to advance their skills. I’ve noticed a marked improvement in both their abilities as well as their enthusiasm and I truly enjoy attending their lessons. The music is a delight to listen to and it’s even more so exquisite because I know how hard earned it has been for my boys. I love how the lessons they learn in studio apply to life outside of piano. I love how Mr. Bemish is encouraging, even when he needs to be critical to help them improve. I love to watch their confidence grow with the material Mr. Bemish works on with them over time. Edward Bemish provides a professional music learning experience. I am a long time pianist and piano teacher. Not only has Edward met my expectations to help me improve my performing ability; he has also provided comprehensive music theory instruction. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pianist, he offers a complete piano and music learning experience. I highly recommend!

I'm not sure quite where to start; except to say, that I'm "not" a piano student, but rather, a songwriter who was looking to find somebody to work with, in order to give me some professional input for the appropriate chording and progressions for my compositions. Humorous perhaps, but I initially thought that blindly picking Edward out of a Google search was somewhat of a "stab in the dark". As it turned out, that may have been one of the best "stabs" I've ever made. As of this writing, I've had two 90 min. sessions with Edward; both of which were spent on the chording and arranging of one of my songs. I just have to say, that working with Edward was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've ever had. I found him to be, not only extremely professional, but kind, patient and empathetic as well. Can't quite put my finger on it, but Edward seems to have this "low-key demeanor" that just seems to put you at ease, while, simultaneously, finding a way to get you excited about what you're producing. Couldn't ask for better! Luckily for me, Edward has agreed to sit-in on one of our upcoming studio demo sessions. I'm not only looking forward to that, but also looking forward to a continuing relationship with him, on some of my other works, going forward. Henry

I have taken several lessons with Mr. Bemish and I am happy to say that he loves what he does. He has a real passion for music and a real passion for teaching it. I think you just have to experience it to know what I mean. He really makes you think. He really wants you to understand and dictate back your understanding.
